LEVEL I - Maritime Domain Awareness for Law Enforcement
This is an introduction to the Marine Environment and addresses basic Awareness, Prevention, Response and Consequence Management issues involved in Maritime Security. It covers problems associated with marine environment including jurisdiction, threats, targets, and risks, operating in the marine environment, terminology, types of ships & facilities, problems unique to marine responses, and tactical response issues. This course is designed for both marine units and patrol units with waterfront jurisdiction.

LEVEL IA - Maritime Domain Awareness for Airborne Law Enforcement
This is an introduction to the Marine Environment for aviation assets and addresses basic Awareness, Prevention, Response and Consequence Management issues involved in Maritime Security. It covers problems associated with marine environment including jurisdiction, threats, targets, and risks, operating in the marine environment, terminology, types of ships & facilities, problems unique to marine responses, and tactical response issues. It addresses the use of aviation assets to support Maritime Security as force multipliers. This course is routinely presented at the ALEA National Conference and is available directly to departments.
