It is with deep regret that we have to share the passing of Chief Paul Hartstein, retired Camden County Chief Fire Marshal and NJ State Fire Commissioner. Paul was a good friend of ours and will be sorely missed. Information on the funeral and viewing are attached in the download to the right.
TMSA is well underway with New Jersey's training program for Marine Firefighter. TMSA has teamed up with R4 (one of New Jersey's approved training vendors) to provide TMSA's DHS approved Marine Firefighter 1 and 2 training to departments in Northern New Jersey. Departments from Bayonne, Jersey City, Newark and Elizabeth have nearly completed the initial phase of training 240 firefighters in the Marine Firefighter 1 program. Training has been provided under a port security grant obtained through the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness. This program is part of a larger project to provide maritime training for regional first responders including law enforement, fire, ems and emergency management at the awareness, operations and technician level specialties.
